A Bath Time Treat For A Busy Bee

A bath-time treat for a busy bee: If you’re a mother, it’s safe to say you are a busy little bee! Between looking after the kids and the home, other family and work commitments, it’s a wonder we get any time to ourselves! So I spent a night this week looking after myself – the Queen Bee – and I’d encourage you to do the same!

I have been a busy bee lately. In the past 6 weeks I have re-launched this blog spoken at BritMums Live and done some great freelance work all whilst keeping the home ticking over and doing the school run! So this week I took an evening out for myself, to catch up on some pampering to get me summer ready, but also to seek out a few products that are great little multi-taskers, to help me save time on my beauty routine this summer.

Burt’s Bees is a 40 year old American company who believe in only using the best that nature has to offer in its products. They started off making beeswax candles then moved into lip balm and other personal care products followed from there. The lip balm became a best-seller and still is to this day, but now their product range includes facial treatments, bath oils and lip colours!

I headed off to Boots where they had a great range, but you can also buy Burt’s Bees in Debenhams, Holland & Barrett and online. They had some great pampering products and I came away with the Super Shiny Conditioner with Mango; Fabulously Fresh Peppermint & Rosemary Body Wash; Lemon & Vitamin E Bath & Body Oil; Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream and Beeswax Lip Balm

It was a treat to get out to the shops actually – I left the kids with hubby whilst I took a little time to browse round, before I picked my Burt’s Bees booty for the evening!

Once I got home I made up a bubble bath, lit a scented candle and enjoyed some peace and quiet whilst using all my products.

It’s so important to take a little time out for our own well-being. I’m as guilty as the next person of trying to do too much but my body tells me when it’s had enough and as I’m getting older I’m learning to listen! So occasional treats like this help me to feel like I am at the top of my ‘To Do’ list just as much as the other more energy draining tasks are!

So now I feel restored again, I want to share a few products with you that will act as perfect multi-taskers in your beauty kit. I love products that do more than one thing as they help save time in a beauty routine and mean less weight to carry round in the toiletry bag… and these clever products are from Burt’s Bees!

Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream: This is a fab little pot as it is not only an excellent cream to rub into your cuticles to keep your nails in great condition, but it also doubles as a lip balm so you only have to carry round one thing for both functions!

Burt’s Bees Super Shiny Conditioner is lovely and thick to use in your hair, but did you know you can also use it as a shaving cream? This is handy on a weekend break to avoid taking too many products with you – it makes a fab substitute!

Lemon & Vitamin E Bath & Body Oil is a nourishing product that shows its two purposes in the title! It is an indulgent bath oil, just add to running water and enjoy your bath, then afterwards, apply directly to your damp skin to lock in moisture.
