If you are looking for Halloween events in Yorkshire, here are a few great ideas for families.

Farmer Copleys Pumpkin Festival is a favourite place to visit as they have a delicious farm shop! However their Halloween event is on throughout October (see the website for dates). Best of all it’s free and very suitable for young kids. Here is a photo I took after carving a pumpkin inspired by last year’s Pumpkin Festival:

Yorkshire Scare Grounds Scream Park is Yorkshire’s No.2 scream park and Halloween destination and they are celebrating 5 years of fear this year at their appropriately named Hell Lane site! Learn more and book tickets here.

Lightwater Valley, North Yorkshire’s exciting theme park, is once again holding its spooky-themed ‘Frightwater Valley‘ weekend at the end of October. The theme park started life as a pig farm but became a major attraction in the mid-1990s after the purchase and creation of the Rat Rollercoaster.

Ripley Castle in Harrogate is holding its Spooktacular’ Week the last week of October. There will be castle ghost stories, Halloween craft activities and a spooky garden trail.

Stockeld Park has been home to the Christmas Adventure for years, but did you know that they also do a Fright Night spectacular? Prepare to be scared with your kids!

Tropical World in Leeds is hosting a free event called Batty Bats on the 27th of October. At this event, people of all ages can learn about the bats and spiders that live there—and you can even make your own bat!
